The construction principles of new type hydraulic pumping unit

New type hydraulic pumping unit researched by our company consists of three parts, hydraulic station, hydraulic pumping unit, and intelligent counterweight.

According to the set procedure, hydraulic station controls hydraulic pumping unit to drive sucker rod reciprocating motion; without power, intelligent conterweight overcomes the weight of sucker rod to save energy and extend the service life of equipment.

Comparison with traditional Hydraulic pumping unit

In the left and the middle pictures, they are traditional hydraulic pumping unit, of which the main problem is that they have no counterweight system, so their systems are of high energy consumption;

In the right picture, it is new type  hydraulic pumping unit, which has cylinder counterweight to  balance  the weight between liquid columns and parts of columns, so it can reduce energy consumption by over 60%.

Characteristics of New Type Hydraulic Pumping Unit

1. With high security, it can realize remote control and ensure the CBM safe production.

2. It is of high efficiency, and the energy-saving effect is significant after increasing counterweight.

3. It is easy to realize long stroke and low stroke frequency, and they can be adjusted infinitely;

4. It has strong adaptability to large load and can meet the needs of deep and heavy oil wells;

5. It has the advantages of small size, light weight and good mobility, and is especially suitable for the operation on tidal flat, sea platform and in the mountain area;

6. It can realize the management and control of oil well and the remote test automation; 

7. On a platform, a control system can drive many wells (one machine controls multiple wells).

Field Application

At present, it has been widely used in Shanxi CBM, Jilin oilfield, Yanchang oilfield and so on. Among them, in Shanxi CBM, there are 50 sets, 15 sets of which have been installed and operated.

In the following picture, it is the application spot in Shanxi CBM.

The pump setting depth of this well is 1300m, its pump diameter is 44mm, its stroke is 2.1m and its stroke frequency is 3 times /min. The remote control of parameters and data transmission like stroke, frequency, start and stop and so on can be achieved on spot, which is easy for maintenance. 

It has been operated for 18months until now.
